The project

It’s impossible to summarize, what for Les, has been a “second” lifetime of experiences, but we were thrilled to help to kick off this story and visit our friend Les in France. Our goal, to follow Leslie Kellen, “The Legend”, taking us on this journey where he shares stories, connections, great food and his incredible knowledge of wine through the beautiful regions of Bordeaux.
Our adventure begins in the charming East bank village of Blaye, France. This was a journey we will never forget, and we’re only just a few bottles of wine into this story.

Behind the Scenes

Working with our small talented team, we captured hours of footage, interviews with wonderful people, beautiful landscapes, and far more than ever would make it into the final episodes.

But, as they say, you can never have enough footage when you’re sitting in the edit suite. Even though we were over 3600+ miles away, we felt like we were just next door every day that we spent editing this story together.

Are you just here for the tasting?

Leslie Kellen, is the author of the first classification of Blaye and Bourg wines, The Kellen Classification, has worked in the wine industry for more than four decades. He and his wife Clarissa are the proprietors of La Petite Cave in Blaye, “The world’s favorite little wine store and wine bar” in Bordeaux, and the Etalon Rouge Vineyard and Winery.
