Tap Cancer Out

It was a real privilege to document the Tap Cancer Out BJJ Open 2014 this past April, and share all of their stories. This event gathered members of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community in an effort to raise money and awareness, support local and national organizations, hospitals, doctors in their efforts to find a cure for cancer.

We chose to feature several competitors who have each been affected by cancer in their own ways. Some with personal struggles and others who have friends and family who deal with this every day. It was important to us that this video was not simply a recap of the event, but represented in many ways a very personal struggle and the emotion behind those who participate in the sport and support this cause.
